Prof. A. Sładkowski is the head of the Department of Logistics and Aviation Technologies of the Faculty of the Silesian University of Technology in the currently. The direction of scientific and technical activities, as well as cooperation at the national level is completely determined by the name of the department. It should be noted that often in order for more to widen the coverage of the under consideration of the subject matter the Department conducts research in collaboration with other departments of the faculty.

Currently, the staff of the department includes several staff dedicated to technical means of rail and air transport. Given the fact that prof. A. Sładkowski previously intensively studied this subject matter and continues to do so at the moment, we can to state a fact that the research group was additionally created as part of this department.

It is also obvious that cooperation of prof. A. Sładkowski with companies and organizations in Poland may be considered only in conjunction with the scientific and production activities of the department headed by him. The results of this work are reflected in numerous publications in conjunction with the department staff, students, and representatives of partner organizations.

All ongoing research aimed at improving the activities of such firms. Forms of interaction may be different. This business contracts, examination of activities, joint research projects and so on.

We should not forget about such form of work, when student conducts research job under the guidance of teacher of the department to improve the activities of one or another company.
