Participation in the ICRARE 2021 conference

On May 18-19, 2021, Tehran hosted the 7th International Conference on Recent Advances in Railway Engineering (ICRARE 2021). This is a fairly well-known conference that is held every 2 years. Its organizers declare that it is one of the most prestigious and longstanding conferences in the field of railway engineering in Middle East and West Asia. The current conference was held on the basis of the School of Railway Engineering of Iran University of Science and Technology. Due to the difficult pandemic situation in the world, the conference was held in a hybrid form. Local scientists could participate directly in the conference, and a number of overseas guests could participate online using the Adobe Connect software.

In particular, a special session of the conference was held in this mode, where leading scientists from different countries were invited as keynote speakers, who were given the opportunity to make 40-minute reports. For example, there were prof. Rui Calcada (University of Porto), assoc. prof. Borna Abramović (University of Zagreb), Joaquin Jimenez Otero (Former International Director ADIF, Spain), Dr. Zhang Zhipeng (Shanghai Jiao Tong University). Prof. A. Sładkowski spoke at this session with a report "On the issue of disseminating information about the achievements of modern transport science", which was met with great interest.
