Scientific Conference of the Best Scientists in the World – TOP 2%
On September 9-11, 2024, the 1st Scientific Conference of the Best Scientists in the World – TOP 2% was held at the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering. Own referats were presented by 43 scientists from universities and institutes in Katowice and our region, who are among the 2% most frequently cited in the world. The conference was held under the patronage of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, prof. Marek Pawełczyk, the Mayor of Katowice, dr. Marcin Krupa, the President of the Katowice Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Andrzej Więcek. All patrons were honored by the presence of such world-renowned scientists at the beginning of the conference. The Mayor of Katowice, dr. Marcin Krupa, presented letters of gratitude to the above-mentioned scientists.
