Cooperation with Georgian Universities and Research Institutes
14-21.05.2022 prof. A. Sładkowski was in Georgia. The immediate task of his business trip was to conduct classes with students of the Georgian Technical University (GTU) within the framework of the KA107 project of the Erasmus+ program. In addition, meetings with teachers and the leadership of the Faculty of Transportation and Mechanical Engineering of the State Technical University were important events. Issues of participation of the Georgian side in internships in Poland, participation in common pedagogical and scientific projects were discussed jointly.

An equally important aspect of A. Sładkowski's visit to Georgia was his meetings with the rector of GTU prof. David Gurgenidze and rector of Akaki Tsereteli State University prof. Roland Kopaliani. Among the many issues of common interest, special attention was devoted to the organization of education for Georgian students in Poland with the possibility of obtaining diplomas from the Silesian University of Technology.

Meetings were also held with the leadership of the R. Dvali Institute of Machine Mechanics of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, professors Tamaz Natriashvili (Director of the Institute), Revaz Kavtaradze, Merab Glonti, Giorgi Tumanishvili and others. Issues of joint scientific research, participation in conferences and publications in scientific journals were discussed. In spare time also managed to get acquainted with the richest history and culture of Georgia.
