Fourth Polish-Georgian Conference “Transport Bridge Europe – Asia”
On 8-10 of October 2018, the next scientific-technical conference “Transport Bridge Europe-Asia” was held in Tbilisi. Silesian University of Technology is a co-organizer of this conference. It takes place in various cities of Georgia. This year the conference was held within the walls of the Georgian Technical University (GTU, Tbilisi). In addition to the organizers from Poland and Georgia, scientists and specialists from Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Germany and Uzbekistan took part in the fourth conference. From the Faculty of Transport of the Silesian Technical University, professors Dorota Burchart-Korol and Aleksander Sładkowski took part in the conference. They made presentations on topical issues of transport. The conference included meetings, in which senior officials from a number of universities and academic research institutes participated. In addition to the exchange of scientific information, the conference participants were able to get acquainted with the history and culture of a number of historical regions of Georgia - Kartli, Kakheti and Imereti.
