Successful completion of the SmaLog grant
October 14, 2021 was the last day of the SmaLog grant, which has been running for 4 years. Due to the pandemic situation, it was extended for one year. In addition to developing curricula for Ukrainian and Georgian universities, students and staff of these universities who participated in the grant were able to undergo training or internship at a number of European universities. The last half of the year has been particularly intense in terms of overseas internships. For example, this year alone, 6 employees of the State University "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" underwent internships at the Silesian University of Technology, as well as 2 teachers from each university: the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" and the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv.

Leading teachers of the Silesian University of Technology also traveled to Ukrainian universities to deliver lectures for students and PhD students of a number of universities. In particular, prof. Elżbieta Macioszek stayed in the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" with lectures, dr. Maria Cieśla conducted classes with students of the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, and prof. Aleksander Sładkowski worked with students and PhD students of the State University "Zhytomyr Polytechnic".
