International exchange at the Faculty of Transport

The Faculty of Transport of the Silesian Technical University actively participates in international exchange programs for students and teachers. Within three months (19.12.2017-19.03.2018) a scientific internship at the faculty under the guidance of a scientific adviser prof. A. Sładkowski had Kunduz Sharipbekova, a third-year PhD student from the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev (Kazakhstan, Astana). Currently, Khairulla Aben and Daniyar Jakupov, PhD students from the Kazakh National Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev (Kazakhstan, Almaty), have scientific internship at the Department of Logistics and Aviation Technologies.

An important area of international cooperation is the participation of the faculty in the program CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies). Within the framework of the FINALIST grant in the current academic year the faculty members visited the University of Rijeka (Croatia) and the Institute of Technology and Business in Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic). Currently, the PhD student of the Department of Transport Systems and Traffic Engineering Damian Lach has scientific internship at the University of Ljubljana at the Faculty of Marine Research and Transport. At the same time, Ana Kostadinović, a PhD student at the Belgrade University, undergoes a one-month internship in Katowice.

For the next academic year, the Faculty of Transport will have the opportunity to participate in two CEEPUS grants of a logistics and automotive directions. This will significantly increase the mobility of students and teachers.
