Visit to Riga
On August 18 - 23, 2019, prof. Aleksander Sładkowski visited Riga. The Faculty of Transport at the Silesian University of Technology has long-standing contacts with a number of Latvian higher education institutions. This visit was an opportunity to expand such contacts. During the visit, prof. A. Sładkowski had some meetings with colleagues from the Riga Technical University and the Transport and Telecommunication Institute. The issues of signing new and extending existing bilateral agreements under the ERASMUS+ program, participating in thematic conferences, exchanging students and academic staff, preparing new scientific monographs and a number of other issues of mutual interest were discussed. A pleasant surprise was the participation in the celebration of the City Day, which was held at that time in Riga.
