Next visit to Kazakhstan
In December 2022 prof. Aleksander Sładkowski visited Kazakhstan. The main objective of his visit, as the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Cooperation with the Countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, was to expand cooperation with the Kazakh technical universities, which conduct pedagogical and scientific activities in Almaty. In particular, A. Sładkowski met with the leadership of the Kazakh National Research Technical University (Satbayev University - KazNRTU), the Kazakh Automobile and Road Institute named after. L.B. Goncharov (KazADI), the Civil Aviation Academy (CAA), and the Academy of Logistics and Transport (ALT). During meetings with the rectors, vice-rectors, and deans of these universities, issues of expanding cooperation, signing contracts, internships for students and doctoral students at the Silesian University of Technology, as well as dual diplomas were discussed. As a result of this visit, the rectors of these universities signed new agreements on academic cooperation or extended the validity of existing ones. Prof. A. Sładkowski also held a series of lectures and practical classes with students of KazNRTU, as well as a professional development course for teachers and employees of KazADI.
